Our History

How it all started

Originally starting out as ITS International and primarily shipping show and quarter horses, U.S. Equine came to fruition in 1991 with the goal of succeeding in the thoroughbred shipping industry.

Focusing primarily on introducing and assisting Japanese buyers with the American thoroughbred sales system, U.S. Equine was able to establish themselves as one of the premier shipping agents to transport racehorses to and from Japan.

Over the years, U.S. Equine has shipped many horses to Japan that have gone on to have extremely successful careers, as well as several stallions that have had an influence on Japanese racing over the last three decades.

The company has expanded their capabilities from not only shipping, but other aspects of the horse industry as well, such as the management of horses in the U.S. for Japanese owners and mediating the relationship between the Japanese and U.S racing industry.

U.S. Equine hopes to be able to share their knowledge and experience of the horse business with their clients for many more years to come!
